Sergei Šarašenidze

Sergei was born in Narva, Estonia, as the Soviet Union collapsed around him. His father was Georgian; his mother spoke Russian. The family did not move. The country moved around them.

By the time most children are choosing a favorite subject in school, he was inside a juvenile facility. By the time most young men are starting careers, he was running scams across four countries and doing time in three more.

Lost Generation is the true story of a childhood shaped by that collapse, a father lost to crime before he could be truly known, and three decades spent chasing money, freedom, and escape — until the only thing left to search for was home.

This is not a redemption story that arrives easily. It is an honest account of addiction, loss, and the slow, unglamorous work of finding your way back to the people who never stopped waiting. It is his first book.
